International Business (9 semester credit hours) – Students who complete the International Business competency will prepare to comprehend international marketing, proper, financial and economic issues that confront managers of multinational enterprises. Leading Change (9 semester credit hours) – Students who complete the Leading Change competency will prepare to lead teams of professionals to plan projects, deliver solutions and improve efficiency and effectiveness in the modern organization.

Modeling (9 semester credit hours) – Students who complete the Modeling competency will prepare to perform, through proper use of quantitative and computer models, problem resolving and decision analysis in support of business functions in a genuine world environment. Risk Management (9 semester credit hours) – Students who complete the Risk Management competency will prepare to recognize resources of risk within an organization and manage this risk in a wise manner.

A specific B.B.A. major can’t be guaranteed and can depend on departmental resources. Students beyond your College of Business may petition to enroll in all other 3000- and 4000-level College of Business programs. Evaluation of all petitions to sign up in major limited courses will consider whether (a) the course pertains to their degree plan, and (b) whether the student satisfies all prerequisites.

All of the petitions must be approved by appropriate Department Chair and College Dean. Enrollment in MGT 3003 is restricted to pre-business, Business Studies and declared business majors only. Students majoring in areas outside the College of Business might not take more than 27 semester credit hours in the faculty without acceptance of the Dean of the faculty of Business.

All degrees in the faculty of Business require 120 hours. If a student elects to take a course that satisfies both a University Core Curriculum and COB necessity, students might need to take yet another course to meet up with the 120 hours. 1. The student must be considered a announced major in the College of Business and in good academic standing up at UTSA and in the College of Business. 2. The pupil must: – Have completed at the least 60 semester credit hours, which at the least 15 credit hours have been completed at UTSA.

Internships at all for-profit companies must be paid at an hourly rate equal to the minimum income or more to maintain compliance with the Department of Labor suggestions. An educational credit internship with a company at which students is currently used may be looked at, but only if clear proof shows that the internship is substantially and programmatically different from such employment. 6. The internship must last at least 200 work hours within the word of enrollment where the student is seeking academic credit.
