The first step in managing local users and organizations in Windows 7 is developing a user group. Open the Microsoft Management Console. Click type and Start me into the Search container. Press Enter or select mmc.exe from the resulting list under Programs. Click Yes or get into your security administrator password if prompted by the UAC. Select Local Users and Groups in the left pane of the Microsoft Management Console home window.
If Local Users and Groups are not detailed, make sure that you are using Home windows 7 Ultimate or Professional model. Enter a name and an explanation for the group and click Add. Enter the name of the user account, click on the Check Names button, and click OK. Once you’ve created a user group, you can start adding user accounts to the combined group. Adding user accounts to a group gives you to instantly grant the same rights and permissions to all of the users at one time. Consumer accounts in a consumer group all have similar usage of network services such as folders and printers.
Open the Microsoft Management Console as described in the previous section. Select Local Users and Groups in the left pane of the Console window. Double-click the Groups folder in the main area of the window. Right-click the user group name to that you want to add user accounts. Select Add to Group from the contextual menu.
Click the Add button and type the name of the first user accounts you want to include. Click the Check Names button. Click OK to add the user account. Click OK to close the dialog again. Select Increase Group from the contextual menu. Click the Add button and type the name of the first consumer accounts you want to include. Click on the Check Names button. Click OK to add the user account.
Click OK again to close the dialog. You can add consumer accounts to some user group. Standard and Administrator groups are the most common group types, nevertheless, you can create custom organizations as well, choosing which rights you want to give to users for the reason that combined group. You may wish to avoid adding many users to the group too. In fact, adding only those who absolutely require this kind of access is strongly recommended.
