Faking Good Breeding

Last week, my good friend Sidnie made her blogging debut after reviewing C.O. Bigelow’s Lemon Collection. This week she’s pursuing up with an assessment of the Soda Fountain Mini Mentha Lip Shine Trio, that was provided by Bath and Body Works’ P.R. Thanks to Sidnie for reviewing, I hope to have her back to give her take on other cosmetics in the future! Within the last couple of weeks I examined the C.O. Bigelow Mentha lip glosses in milkshake tastes, that can come attractively packed in old-school pharmaceutical.

Similar with their line of lemon products, there are a series of milkshake tastes (Vanilla Malt, Strawberry Shake, and Double Chocolate) combined with classic C.O. Bigelow Mentha, the flavor that made them famous. Mint and Strawberry might not appear to be the most interesting combination, but who am I to turn down free beauty products?

Wil and I both enjoy cooking food, venturing out to consume and working out- each is an integral part of our daily lives. We are blessed to reside in a town that is filled with restaurants, stores, and markets that offer locally grown and sustained produce and meat along with other delicious dishes.

If you’re in the area, make sure to check out the BIRA website before going to- most of our favorite restaurants are shown! Meet my hubby, Wil! Wil is the owner of a fitness service here in town called Force Fitness and Performance. Wil was a collegiate Track and Field athlete at Indiana University and loves to Olympic Lift (he was a national champion).

His facility focuses on athlete training, fitness, bootcamps and includes the utilization of kettlebells, TRX suspension coaches, Olympic Lifting techniques, medication balls and more. That’s where I really do my strength training and bootcamp workout routines, but I love hot yoga exercises also, running, swimming, cycling, and much any outdoor activity pretty. I graduated from Hawaii Pacific University in 2007 with a degree in public areas Relations and currently work in marketing at a medical device company.

Most books about Warren Buffett have a tendency to concentrate on his long-term trading success and rarely offer much in the way of criticism. Fear is an all natural instinct, and most of us have it. We’d all like to think that we’d be the ones to react well under great pressure – that if faced with a life-and-death situation, we’d be the ones who took the imitative and took action to save the day. But in truth, in many life-and-death situations, many of us freeze, or even soil ourselves. More than 3/4 of the soldiers in battle in World War II never fired their weapons. Many were paralyzed by dread.

The notion of being John Wayne, taking out the machine gun nest with two blazing pistols and hands grenade pins in our tooth is, for the majority of us, an utter dream. I’ve been in only one demanding situation like this in my own life, and it was enough to make me recognize that I am not John Wayne by any stretch out of the imagination.
